Portable dew point meter Model ATS 301D used to measure the dew point temperature of a gas or air sample. It operates by cooling a surface until water vapor in the sample condenses into liquid droplets. The temperature at which this condensation occurs is the dew point. Here's how a dew point meter works: Sample Collection: The meter draws in a sample of the gas or air to be measured. Cooling: The sample is passed over a cooled surface, such as a mirror or a chilled plate. Condensation: As the surface cools, the water vapor in the sample reaches its saturation point and begins to condense into liquid droplets. Measurement: The temperature of the surface at the point of condensation is recorded as the dew point.
